The Crozet Master Plan

------
The Crozet Master Plan was adopted by the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors in December 2004. You can link to a copy of the Plan from the County's website, here.

In 2009, the County is updating and revising the Crozet Master Plan and soliciting feedback from citizens as part of that process, and to that end a public meeting was held at Crozet United Methodist this past Monday night.

Brandon Shulleeta from the Progress reports on the meeting here. One issue that's generating lots of discussion (controversy?) is the (varied) projections of Crozet's future population -- both what the population could be and what the population should be, based on different potential frameworks for development and infrastructure.

The County is doing a good job of opening up the political and regulatory processes to the public, and hopefully those individuals with ideas and opinions will take advantage of the opportunities to shape the revised Master Plan.
