Next Tuesday, May 4, the Charlottesville Albemarle Bar Association is presenting a fantastic Senior Citizens Law Day Seminar. The seminar is free and open to the public, and we'd love to see you there.Rick chaired the committee that organized the seminar, and he anticipates that it will be a valuable opportunity for area seniors to learn about a range of legal issues that directly affect and impact them, from social security benefits to medical decision-making and "aging in place."
The program runs from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM in Charlottesville City Council Chambers. Speakers will include the Legal Aid Justice Center's Clair Curry, Hospice of the Piedmont's Dr. Timothy Short, Ned Sledge from the local Social Security Adminstration office, and JABA's Gordon Walker.
A free lunch is included for registered participants, and it's not too late to register by contacting Kate Callender at 817-5222.
